I was recently hired to be part of the opening team for a never-seen-before vision. This organization’s launch is enormous, and most people have been extremely appreciative of the sweat equity. Like anything new, not everyone is receptive or complimentary.
New staff. New leaders. New procedures. New concept. New everything. One teammate described this adventure as a “blend of the first airport opening and facing a pandemic health emergency.” A promise of limitless possibilities. A challenge to navigate unfamiliar territory.
As a staff, we’ve watched people show up as a version of The Three Bears. Too hot. Too cold. Just right. Too hard. Too soft. Just right. Some people have been critical grizzly bears, most have been kind teddy bears.

The vast spectrum of reactions to our community’s treasure led me to consider my own perspective about life. I strive to be more like a teddy bear than a grizzly bear. We’re all practicing this minute for the first time ever and it’s vital I remember to be kind to everyone’s learning curve.
To all entrepreneurs who bring light to our world, thank you!
Lord, help me be compassionate and understanding toward all creation. When I’m tempted to growl like a bear, remind me to take a hibernation break to adjust my bristly fur coat.
Aspiring toward a quest for everyone’s best,
Christina
