Free TV!

My backyard houses a wireless state-of-the-art theatre. It synchs with bells, whistles, and unlimited streaming options. I don’t have hook-up charges, contracts, and 24-7 access is guaranteed.

The catch? I must be outside to appreciate these endless theatre productions. Simply show up and hush up.

Nature is my ideal habitat for humanity. I give the kindest version of myself when I spend much time outside. I think I could live outdoors, as long as it’s 55 degrees or warmer.

Here’s a short list of benefits I receive from my outdoor amphitheater:

*Pop-up ads include critters poking out at random times.

*Flashing lights and surround-sound come automatically with every thunderstorm. Power outages don’t limit a storm’s production.

*Actors are authentic. (Even the birds aren’t “air-brushed”).

*No auditions, no dress rehearsals.

*Animals don’t sulk if they’re not voted for the top deck platform or highest branch.

*Trees and plants don’t compete to be the tallest or largest in their field.

*All skits are improv. There’s a healthy dose of comedy when baby critters explore their first days on earth. Sometimes a drama involves a cat fight. Sometimes a possum and coon go head-to-head.

*There’s never an admission charge and I get to choose the start and end times of my backyard shows.

*All elements are digitally mastered by the Creator’s hands. He uses His voice-activated commands.

*Outdoor snacks include nuts, fruit, veggies and (rain) water. Comfortable dress code is best.

*I get to enjoy series’ premiers and endless seasons of original shows. There’s no review or survey to complete afterwards either!

Often, I journal my outdoor observations. Later, those reflections become a literary photo album because I get to review these written snapshots. It’s like seeing previously recorded episodes.

People have offered their old flat-screens and modern gadgets, but I have every imaginable failproof devices at no cost in my backyard sanctuary. Plus, God’s stage provides several sitting spaces to watch His masterpiece theatre. Who says nothing comes free anymore?

Naturally,

Christina
