I went to a house showing with a friend who wanted my opinion about a property she considered buying. We drove through the property’s surrounding neighborhoods and I saw a No Trespassing sign on a tree across from her pending house deal.
I wondered about the sign’s homeowner. What led to posting a no trespassing sign? My friend and I toured her house showing and on our way home, I drove around the block toward the property with the trespassing post.
On the opposite side of said tree, I saw another yard sign. It read, “This site is for the future memorial garden park for _______________ (name withheld). A tribute was written about this person’s extensive community involvement and generosity. He was being honored through this garden park.

I humbly chuckled when I realized my first reaction was a knee-jerk assumption, more jerk than knee. In essence, I infringed on this family’s tender motive for posting a no trespassing sign.
That day, my friend wanted a second opinion on a house showing. I left with God’s second opinion. Heavenly agents gave me a contingent offer after I initially closed my mind. Signed, sealed and delivered in the spirit.
Jesus, open my heart and eyes to see what You see. Protect me from jumping to conclusions. Forgive me for trespassing against others.
