KNEE DEEP IN A WHIRLPOOL

May Day! This month, Knee Deep: A Nine-Month Whirlpool of Handwritten Letters to the Creator will be published. It’s my most courageous and vulnerable writing so far. I’ll post store links when the book becomes available. Until then, I practice fervent peace! Grateful for your support on the lily pad of life, Christina

ELABORATE OR ELIMINATE

Six months ago, I declared a New Lease on Life.  I’ve spent November 5-May 5 observing everything without making permanent decisions, other than choosing to grocery shop and practice kindness. I’ve chosen to elaborate on less critical pursuits and eliminate baggage. Rather than writing a six-month confessional, I’ll eliminate tenacious details and elaborate on discoveries….

EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

Beaten. Shamed. Killed. Seven lives fallen into the hands of abusers. Mark writes about a vineyard owner who hires farmhands to tend his grapes. When harvest time arrives, this winepress CEO sends a servant to collect fruit. The farmers beat his innocent employee. The owner then contracted five other servants to gather harvest. The farmhands…

DILIGENCE

Peaceful waters from the lily pad! For this week’s FROG Blog, I share a treasure I have posted in my Martha & Mary Writing Studio. It’s been years since I found this and wish the source had credited its author. His or her literary gift reminds me that words written (or spoken) today impact tomorrow…

ABUNDANCE

I announce my 2021 Word of the Year! ABUNDANCE. Last year, I chose DECIPHER to practice inner growth. The decipher premise stemmed from a need to check motive: my use of time, personal connections, spending and saving money, energy output etc. What motive manifested my habits? This year’s word is ABUNDANCE. I’m challenging myself to…

LIBRARY CHALLENGE

I’m working on next week’s FROG blog about my 2021 Word of the Year to Practice: Abundance. The next 3 books in the FROG Blog series are in various pieces, with intent to publish them this year: Knee Deep, Tadpoles and Poetry Pod. I ask for your help in one of my challenges this year!…

UNIVERSAL TRANQUILITY

Joyful Christmas to all! Believing in new birth for your upcoming days and year! In reading Psalms 15, I believe if we continually responded this way, our world would look much different. (Even when I practice any one of the guidelines from Ps. 15:2-5 that becomes my daily challenge)! 1 LORD, who may dwell in your…

3 Wise Gifts

As you are doing your Christmas shopping, I suggest this trinity of gifts. Just as the Magi brought 3 gifts, I hope these will be your earthly gold, frankincense and myrrh for people’s literary collection. Books by Christina M. Eder Life’s Too Short for Dull Razors, Cheap Pens, and Worn Out Underwear Christina’s first book Life’s Too…

GIFT GIVING IDEAS FOR A MINIMALIST

I approach life with a “less is more and even less is even more” practice. I prefer gifting someone with generosity, kindness, gentleness, time, listening-to-understand… Christmas and birthdays can become difficult for my circle who love gifting with material tokens of love. People ask, “If you don’t like extra material possessions, what am I supposed…
